BAY AND SKYWAY AREA: Captain Sergio . Atanes: (813) 973-7132:
Goliath grouper are becom? ing a nuisance to grouper anglers
they are so prolific. Inshore, fish Port Manatee artificial
reef for man? grove snapper and some grouper. Fish Rattlesnake
Key and Bishops Harbor for tarpon. Fish the canals at Apollo
Beach for tarpon also.
UPPER TAMPA BAY: Denny B's Quality Bait & tackle, from
Walt (813) 885-9811: Fish the mangroves around Double branch
for snook and redfish. Live shrimp and small pinfish work
best. Tarpon are at the bridges.
SOUTH PINELLAS: Captain Paul Hawkins, (727) 560-6762: Tarpon
have continued to be a tough catch with the West winds.
Most of the action is from redfish and trout. Some snook
also can be caught. Mackerel are the easiest way to get
dinner.
